Administrative Structure

The Heartland Health Region has a six member Senior Leadership Team (SLT) who oversees the administrative structure of the organization. Under the direction of the Interim President/CEO, the Interim President/CEO and Heartland’s three Vice-Presidents carry out the portfolio responsibilities of Health Services, Human Resources, Corporate Services, and Primary Health/Quality Services.  The Senior Medical Officer is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing guidance and advice that helps the region align programs and services with the professional skills of physicians practicing in the region.

The Senior Leadership Team ensures effective planning, integration and delivery of facility-based and community-based programs and services across the region.

The Senior Leadership Team is led by Gayle Riendeau, Interim President & Chief Executive Officer, who reports to the Regional Health Authority Board of Directors. The President and CEO oversees and gives direction to the  four Vice Presidents, the Senior Medical Officer and the Director of Environmental Services/Capital Projects who are each responsible for a specific area of health care delivery and operations.
